Tech Den is the Legal Tech Summit’s flagship program – celebrating excellence in the legal tech start-ups and entrepreneurship across Australia.

Vying for the ultimate prize, a $20k marketing campaign in Australasian Lawyer, hundreds of legal tech start-ups will be whittled down to just a few finalists.

Nick is the Global Head of Technology & Innovation for top 10 international law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright. In addition to his tech and privacy law practice, he co-created Parker, the world’s first AI-powered privacy chatbot. The award winning Parker has provided thousands of hours of legal information to users and has been sold to corporates for internal use.

Separately to NRF, he is a disruptor in his own right, having co-founded online legal service LawPath 5 years ago. LawPath now has over 55,000 users and has the world’s largest legaltech company, LegalZoom, as a significant investor.

Nick is on the board of ASX300 software company, Integrated Research. He is on the board of global genomic medicine leader, the Garvan Foundation, as well as the boards of the Sydney Film Festival and the Vodafone Foundation. He has been on numerous government boards, including the Commonwealth Government’s Consultative Working Group on Cybersafety, the NSW Government’s Procurement Industry Advisory Board and the NSW Fintech Advisory Board.

He is the author of the Kindle best-selling book Digital Disruption in Australia. His latest book, Big Data, Big Responsibilities: A Guide to Privacy & Data Security Obligations for Australian Business is due out later this year. Some years ago he produced the mockumentary Searching for Alison Porchnik featuring Woody Allen and Carol Cane.

He is also the founding chairman of aosphere, a pioneering provider of alternative solutions for legal risk management. Previously, he was an elected member of the firm's board and chairman of its global banking group. Jonathan also worked in and was a founding partner of A&O’s New York and Hong Kong offices.

After joining Reinventure Group as its first Investment Associate post-launch in 2014, Rohen is now Investment Manager. He has been involved in all 23 fund investments made to date across both Fund 1, 2 and 3, in particular playing a key role in the PromisePay, Coinbase, Auror and Valiant deals. He currently sits on the boards of Indebted, Basiq and CodeLingo.

Prior to joining Reinventure, Rohen spent almost four years as a Management Consultant with firms such as AT Kearney and PwC, working across Financial Services, FMCG, Mining and Private Equity sectors. He holds a dual Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (with Honours) and Commerce.
